The expression on his face in the second pic says it all Sanford.

The first three photos this week are from a local Dickens Fair my daughter and I went to yesterday. The first two are shot on the Canon FL 55/1.2 and a7, while the third is from the NEX 7 with Holga Pinhole lens. I think I might need to get a nicer quality Pinhole lens that will cover the FF sensor on my a7. I like the style of this photography and I think I might be able to get creative with it.

The last photo is also from the a7/FL combo. This is a young photographer friend of mine who I have sold several old lenses to. This time he is trying out my Yashica ML 35/2.8 on his Canon 5D. He loves using legacy glass and every time we get together he examines my a7 more and more. Soon he will join the darkside....

Yoga for Sunday morning end of month and after big feast week stretching... Tree pose. Tech: Panasonic GH 2/ 12-35 mm zoom/ Vello radio triggers release / face priority AF/ P mode, FL 36 flash fill pointed to ceiling with Oly bounce card strapped on for straight fill. Oh yes, Induro tripod and RRS BH 40 ball head. Equipment does help sometimes if it is good gear.
00dbo9-559433884.jpg.fea74e1d81e5a379a8bfc5db1c12d8f3.jpg

Sanford - I have to agree with David - the second shot says it all. Great shots David, Louis & John. David I think you could definitely get creative with a pinhole on your A7. Louis, I really like that third shot.

I decided to try my better than 1:1 set up on the Plantain weed patch. Basically this means attaching my four thirds adaptor then adding my electronic extension tube then my four thirds 35mm macro lens. I can still use auto-focus, but most often I do need to do some rocking back and forth to get within the very narrow focus zone. You do need really good light and often you are mere millimetres from the subject and the set-up can really block the light. I really wish Oly made a micro four thirds extension tube that would work on my 60mm macro lens, but sadly this is not the case.

00dboc-559434584.jpg.219b90a6f3d29d4072cb9cc9b1f28db2.jpg

"Hermanitos" - street candid, market day, Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala. I know, framing is clipped, but I was shooting from the waist, street candid. Having said all that, I was using a Panasonic LX7, and no one was paying attention or seemed to care, like they never even noticed the camera, or were bothered by it.

00dbsp-559441684.jpg.aaee2e4d3414d8a3802ae8309a20630e.jpg
