OM-2S Shutter problem

<p>Hello all, can somebody help me with my Olympus OM-2S?<br>

I have problem with shutter, on mechanic and electronic speeds, shutter not fully opened: 2-nd curtain partially overrides film window.<br>

Is this problem with shutter mechanism or with charging it? I have OM-2S SPT manual, but can't find nothing about my problem.<br>

<p> Your camera has only one mechanical shutter setting: 1/60 second. All other speeds require fresh button batteries and clean battery compartment. Your image of shutter curtain tells me camera needs CLA to correct weak shutter.</p>

<p>And Bulb mode, it's also mechanical. You think this is "weak shutter" problem? SPT manual have no description of this problem. How it can be fixed?</p>

<p>What Paul said is correct. You need to have the shutter serviced. You can try to loosen it up by putting it on manual 1/60th and fire it about 150 times. That *may* get things going again, at least for awhile. But eventually it will start again.</p>

<p>I'm not sure where you are located but you need to find a repairman who can work on Olympus OM cameras.</p>

<p>I will try, thanks. I'm afraid what repair cost will be more, than another working camera, thats why I want to try fix it by myself.</p>

<p>So, I disassembled body, It seems problem with charging shutter. I had another body with dead mainboard, and just rearranged mirrorbox with elecronic to another body with working shutter, and it seems all works fine now.</p><div></div>
