How importance is for you give a documentation in your portrait?

I will like to know, when you are doing photos for you or someone, how important is for you give a documentation:<br>

Like Place, get information of the subject, circumstances, condition of light, descriptions, right of the photos, ... and other.<br>

Are you doing this documentation immediately?<br>

This idea, is for you only when you are professional photograph?<br>

Keeping a simple log for later reference is one aspect. Making more detailed notes or little drawings to refer back to

specifically can be helpful to in order to recreate certain techniques. Model releases and other such formalities are a

separate concern.
