Howdy Nikonistas, and a good Wednesday to all. A special nod to the mid-Atlantic folks who are about to get pasted with a big snowstorm in a couple of days (I suspect next week we'll be seeing some good knee-deep shots). Speaking of knee-deep, I'm slogging through some other work, so it's a throwback day for me this week. Throwing a dart at the ol' hard drive, this friendly equine senior citizen decided it was his time for his 15 minutes. Looking forward to everyone's contributions this week. Share!

00dhON-560329284.jpg.bb62434762089910b55543268272876c.jpg

The rain and grey skies that we've suffered for a month finally gave way to some blue sky, so here it is as a backdrop to the bare branches of an oak tree. I couldn't resist using my new Tokina 11-20mm lens on it at 11mm. Boy that lens is sharp and contrasty!

Tom. Lovely shot of that bear. I wish we still had bears and wolves in the UK. All we've got now are urbanised foxes that roam the streets at around 2 am. They'll be using mobile phones and wearing a pair of Beats cans next!

00dhQR-560334884.jpg.37538d15dd6fab9e2fb0f56a98d93225.jpg

I setup this shot during our holiday Festival of Trains. The Clem's Antique Auto Parts building is featured. Clem Clement is a past president of the Train Collectors Association and an avid collector of toy trains and antique vehicles. During his term in office, one of the train manufacturers produced the model building to recognize Clem's contribution to his hobbies.

00dhRT-560337184.jpg.e16944012a6c67d5be892de20d058419.jpg
