lost metal clip insert for hotshoe - T1i

<p>I apparently lost the spring clip that slides into the hotshoe on my T1i. I had noticed it pop out once before and slid it back in. Are you aware of a retailer that would sell just that part online, or is sending the camera to Canon in order? </p>

<p>That sounds like a repair part, not an accessory and I doubt a retail camera store could help.</p>

<p>Canon can and will supply spare parts to individuals. If it's a simple fix there's no need to send the camera to them, you can just get the part. You can try calling (800) OK-CANON who should be able to direct you to the department that handles spare parts. I also have a number for the Canon Parts Order Desk at (866) 481-2569</p>
