kenri_basar1
Hello friends,
Can someone help me with opening up the lens.
I am a novice in manual lens cleaning and repair. I am unable to open up this lens.
The focus ring was stiff so I put some machine oil and rotated it with force that now it moves freely without focusing the lens (I know I may have broken something inside).
I am unable to open the lens to check and repair so it would be really nice if someone who has the knowledge or someone with prior experience can help me.
Thank you in advance.

SCL
Send it for professional repair. You should never put machine oil into the focusing helix. It needs to be disassembled and regreased with the proper lubricant.

Keith S in Arizona USA
Stephen's advice should be followed, and soon. The oil will likely migrate into the lens internals and then you will have substantially worse issues, possibly even corrupting internal lens coatings and the element cements.
"My film died of exposure."
