Help putting a date to a photo

<p>Could you guys help me put a date to a photo. It was taken sometime between June and August 1996 at Heckshere Park in East Islip, Long Island, and the event was a massive family reunion. But I'm trying to get a more specific date, like a month. In the first pic, note the flowers and the geese - perhaps they can help narrow down the date?<br>

<p>In the second (same day), note my aunt - far right. She was pregnant here and would deliver in early December 1996.<br>

Was hoping you guys could help me narrow down to the month in 1996.<br /><br /><br /></p>

<p>One strategy would be to assume (1) that it was probably either adjacent to a holiday (like July 4th) or on a weekend, (2) that it was probably at least 75 degrees (for everyone to be comfortable in shorts and sleeveless shirts), and (3) that it didn't rain, or didn't rain much (unless the memories of people who were there specifically suggest it did rain, which would also be helpful). </p>

Looks like June was pretty wet. </p>
