Which Lens for Birds?

I think I'd leave shimming a newish camera like that to Nikon.

How far away is your nearest official Nikon fixer? Ideally, they'd like to have both the body and lens to adjust them properly....and for a 500mm f4 P and a body, postage is going to be v.high and possibly a danger to such a big lens. I'd take it personally.

For a D80, maybe I'd try that myself!

I agree, Mike.Have to test it more.Today I got finally my tripod (Induro AT313) and first tests with it and a gimbal head show proper focus, at least in the far range.Have to test it more with near targets and with ruler, while on the tripod.
