funkag
Maybe an Argus C44? The lens looks more like my 100mm f3.5 with its hood on. Too bad you can't focus by twisting the barrel...only in the movies!
tgh
Appears to have a crank rewind, so I'd say an Argus C44R.

I certainly would be fooled and I have a C-4 and C-44.

Matthew Currie
Is the barrel of a C44 hidden or coupled differently? I certainly can focus my C-four with the barrel.
dan_cluley
Phase 1 C44-R
These versions were made from the beginning of 1958 through the 3rd quarter of '59.
The majority of the lens barrel does not turn, but you can focus these by turning the lens mount itself which is just behind his left thumb.
Based on the position of his right hand, this example does not have the cool looking semi-coupled light meter.
James G. Dainis
100mm f/3.5? I'm sure with that lens in the movie he is getting a nice head and shoulders shot of the subject 100 feet away. James G. Dainis
royall_berndt
I have a C4; the lens is better than you expect. Rather good, actually. It's a pretty camera, as is the C44. Because the C4 was my dream camera as a kid, I figured that getting one would cure my CAS. But no.......!
