Rick Helmke
Thanks for sharing that one. I may be a bit envious as well.

Rick H.
aplumpton
Someone clearly doing what they like to. Also, the Fuji 6x9 is a versatile device, on a tripod or not, allowing high quality results.
wogears
And a Pentax Spotmeter too! Seriously, a nice video about a guy who made his own way in the world.
AlanKlein
Nice story. He shoots Tmax 400 B/W - for "shape and content; lets the viewer fill in the color."
Flickr gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanklein2000/albums
jon_porter
I've got that camera and it's a honey -- manual, mechanical and no battery. It's also lightweight and easy to hand-hold. I last used it to shoot vintage aircraft, which was appropriate since the planes were probably first photographed by military Kodak Medalist 6x9 cameras.
ondebanks
Nice story. Apart from the photographic aspects, the other striking message was the continual loss of wild environment in the American southwest.
warren_williams
Nice. Having fallen in love with photography (again) with a SWC about five years ago I can really relate to one lens, one film, no onboard meter, no blinking lights and nothing to distract the eye in the viewfinder. Set hyperfocal distance, see the image and push the button.
dave_s
Good short film. It's not about the camera, it's about the man.
spacer_conrad
I moved from New Mexico to the Southeast in the late '90s. I'd love to go back and be able to make a living like that.

Takes guts, though. Guts I don't quite have right now... 'specially since I'm employed full time in a not-so-great economy.
