Upgrading from a D300 for a Wedding Photographer

<p>Resolution, megapixels, resolution……so</p>

<ul>

<li>great colour (esp. SOOC),</li>

<li>tonal response &tonal gradations,</li>

<li>great skin tones & skin colours (why do so many experienced posters have mixed these two up over the years is beyond me) under a wide variety of conditions SOOC (<em>straight-out-of-camera</em>),</li>

<li>wide & subtle gradations in highlight DR (bride's dress, anyone?)</li>

</ul>

<p>are of no importance in a wedding photographer's job if one were to go by threads like these. </p>

<p>thanks for all the replies on this all who took time to comment, some really useful information. seems the D7100 would be a more than adequate upgrade for now if i cannot afford a D800<br>

the far better d800 video function really appeals to me though - buying a load of new lenses does not! well, it appeals, but is not really feasible.<br>
