craig_shearman1
Since this question seems to come up each year, I thought I would pass along that the National Park Service says the cherry blossoms here in Washington, D.C., are expected to reach peak bloom between April 8 and April 12. That's at the tail end of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, which runs March 20 to April 13. At least they are blooming during the festival this year -- some years they have come and gone and people coming here for the festival are disappointed.

joe_willmore
Thanks for sharing this info. Having shot the cherry blossoms here on the Tidal Basin as well as some other places (like LACMA in LA), as a photographer it's something definitely worth making the effort to shoot.
