<p>I have used ViewNX2 and Transfer for a while now. They now will not stay open on my Win 7 computer. I tried wiping them off the system and reloading but the new ones still collapse. Any advice?</p>

<p>Check with Nikon's website to get the latest version. I use ViewNX2 with Windows 7 and have no problems. It sounds like a version conflict to me. You can get the latest version at no cost.</p>

<p>Most likely one of dependent prcesses running on your computer fails and Nikon software closes down.</p>

<p>Perhaps you should not seek improvement on the Nikon's software side, but more on the contents of your computer.</p>

<p>Quite possible that there could be another applicaation that behaves similarly. <br>

Updating/repairing Windows could possibly help.</p>

<p>Sometimes uninstalling programs does not remove everything. Contact Nikon Support and ask for them to send you their Registry Sweeper. Then reinstall the software.<br>

You should be using the latest version of View NX2. It contains an embedded Nikon Transfer program. Do not use the stand alone Nikon Transfer program as it is known to corrupt files from newer cameras.<br>

You mention the programs not staying open. Can you describe a little more what is happening? Are the programs actually closing without a command?</p>

<p>If ViewNX2 stays open for at least a while, try to clear its cache. It sounds to me like that's corrupted, and I do not believe the cache files are removed when you uninstall ViewNX2.</p>
