Love those butterflies Roberta, your technique and post processing is always wonderful :-)

I never meant the wheat field theme to become a project, but I guess it has now. I was there again at the weekend. This time just me the dog and the D90............

d.f._griffith
What a great collection this Wednesday. This is a shot of Ginger blooms that frequently visited by the hummers, but I unlikeTom Pernal, can't seem to catch a good shot when they visit. What's your secret Tom? Great shot of the hummer.

drjanson
Cheers!
I was grilling one night and hoping for a hummingbird to come by, so camera in hand. I got bored and shot my glass of chardonnay instead. Settings were all over the place, but I think it turned out ok. Never did see a hummingbird that night...

tpernal
To DF Griffith!! Nikon D700 with Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR (VR OFF) with a 1.4TC. Rose of Sharon Bush directly below hummingbird feeder. I literally put a milk crate with a pillow on my rear deck table, about 10' from the feeder. Hide behind the crate near sunset and keep my fingers crossed. 1/2500 sec about f/4.5 and about 1000 ISO.
Hope that helps! and thanks much.
