<p>Mukul, your photos are amazingly consistent in color and light whether you are using film or digital. </p>

<p>Thank you, Sanford. I make use, when possible, of the white (neutral grey) balance tools in the GIMP and in UFRaw. It isn't all smooth sailing, though. Yesterday I took two photos of the same man at spots separated by about ten yards. Each photo looked all right when viewed by itself, but when I put the two on screen side by side, their colours were obviously different.</p>
