moving photo files from a zip disk to CD/DVD

<p>I have a few Iomega 250 MB zip disks that have images I would like to move/transfer to a CD/DVD for better storage. Is there a service that does this today? I live in Chicago so anything close would be great.<br>

<p>You can still buy Zip drives (try Amazon) and it may be cheaper and safer than using a service.</p>

<p>There are also some zip drives for sale on ebay. The cheapest I saw was less than $10 (used).</p>

<p>If your computer has a cd/dvd burner (most do these days) it is a pretty simple job to to the transfer yourself.</p>

<p>I'd agree with all the above. Step one, assuming you've got a fairly up to date desktop computer with half decent hard drive capacity, just copy the files to your computer's hard drive. And leave them there.</p>

<p>Then make (double) copies to a DVD, via the computer's burner. Likely the lot would fit on one disk.</p>
