Lou_Meluso
I'm clueless on who Julian Calverley is but he photog in the photo is using a Gitzo model. looks to be a carbon fiber or Basalt model.
howard_m
From the looks of it, he's also using an ArcaSwiss 'Cube' anti-ballhead, Alpa body and PhaseOne digital back.

http://diglloyd.com/articles/Recommended/images/ArcaSwissCube-mounted,std.jpg
ellis_vener_photography
As Howard M remarks, it is a carbon fiber Gitzo (looks like a 3 series) with an Arca-Swiss C1 (AKA: "Cube") tripod head. I will defer to Howard on the camera and digital back ID.
howard_m
Certainly looks like this Alpa:
http://www.alpa.ch/en/products/cameras/camera-bodies/alpa-12-max.html
And this back:
http://www.phaseone.com/en/Camera-Systems/IQ-Series.aspx

That's a SERIOUS rig :) (as he picks his tongue up off the floor)
howard_m
I was wandering around the Alpa website and found this (also definitely read through to Mr. Calverley's website, interview, etc)
http://www.alpa.ch/en/news/2013/Julian-Calverley-on-fusevisual.html?year=2013&num=1
http://fusevisual.org/2013/09/30/julian-calverley/
