Need an assistant in finding the RIGHT one!

After so many years photography, and having more than 5000 images in digital formats, I have reached to

this conclusion that I need to get rid of my two small external storage hard drives, and go for a bigger one in

cpacity, i.e. 2TB.
I read few articles and reviews in few websites, and still I am not sure which one is more reliable and cost

effective.
The most recent article I read was belong to <a href=http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/desktop-

hard-drives/275/?ob=ratingd>PC Advisor.
I do not want to pay more than $200 in price.
I would like to know which one do you have for PC, the reasons behind buying it, and whether you are happy

and satisfied with it's performance. Did the external HD had any problems in the past or does it work smoothly

like the first day you bought.
I would appreciate your assistant in this matter.

Western Digital has the best drives hands down..
I've been building my own PCs for about 10-12 years and for the best info ask at
http://forums.anandtech.com/
What size is your external drive? 3.5 Desktop or 2.5 laptop?
You would be best severed buying a HHD and External Enclosure
All you would need to do in Windows is Format the drive in the control panel
You can even swap the HHD in your External Enclosure..
I sure utube has a video on anything you need to know..
You could use a WD Green label but Black is there best 5 year warranty and the green is 3
PS you could use the 2.5" size to save space and easier to travel with..

Thank you Johnny Kleso for your answer.
Tell the truth I have little information about computer stuff. Also the link you gave me was not useful for me.
I simply looking for a reliable 2TB external Hard Drive, no more than $200.
