<p>Hello all...so I posted a photo in last weeks Nikon Wednesday thread and about an hour later I realized it was Thursday, argh...it's sad when you don't know what day it is...any way I apologize for that.<br /><br />My backyard is full of bluettes and I have been having a great time photoing them.<br /><br />Enjoy your Wednesday all, and yes, Jen, it is definitely Wednesday ;)</p><div></div>

<p>I continued my self-portrait -series this week (Thanks Matt for your comments on last week's thread). This week didn't go that well - I tried to do something pirate-themed, but I ended up looking more like I had escaped from random 80's hard rock band... :) Here's one that was not what I planned lighting-wise, but otherwise passable.</p>

<p>Glad I looked at pnet today while taking a break at work - forgot today was Wednesday! Here's a black and white conversion taken while up in the Philadelphia area last week. Not 5 minutes after taking this picture, I had slipped and fallen into the skunk cabbage and the muck - much to the amusement of my son who i had been exhorting to "watch your step!"<br>

<p>Helsinki City Run (half-marathon) was run on Saturday. The sun was shining from the bare blue sky, so the lighting was less soft than I would have wanted, but obviously most people here welcome the light and the warming weather. Maybe next time use fill flash ...</p>

<p>Finally, this is a crop from further distance where the angle of the runners is a bit different so the sunlight is lighting more of the face.</p><div></div>
