Happy Wednesday everyone ! Matt, thanks for the look at the work behind the magic .
Back to Dauphin Island this week. Such a wonderful variety of shore birds if you are willing to make the long hike in the sand to the very end of the island. Really worth the effort.

All taken with the D800 and 500mm f/4. Used monopod .

Snowy Egret running for dinner in one of tidal pools.

Happy Wednesday everybody. I've actually been very busy lately getting new images to work with, everything from musicians to abstract flowers. Last week I got to meet up with the amazing jazz/fusion group Panzerballet that was here in NJ from Germany. Here's one of the stage shots I made during the performance. Nikon D5100, 35mm f1.8 G @ f2, ISO800

00bXa5-531079584.jpg.a04be3b8b18423f7e3f4627bfaa949ce.jpg

And, here's one of my miniature wild flower abstracts. These are very tiny, I start by shooting a grouping with the 180 AF-D because it's very sharp on the DX and I can keep a good general plane of focus. I can then crop out the section or sections I want. So first the full shot D5100 ISO125

00bXaF-531081684.jpg.55f1e28714e8510660cb4b0793368df9.jpg

Hi,
Following are my contributions made this week.
People around here say 'One swallow does not bring the spring - yet...'
But hopefully two of them do.
After an unusually large amount of snow this winter (the total snowfall accumulated to almost 4 meters) spring is arriving in large steps and the birds are announcing it.
All three photos were made with Nikon D300s, AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR I through double paned window.
Hope you'll enjoy them.
Regards, Miha.

00bXb6-531097584.jpg.df64688f8173134713b93356414c48e9.jpg
