Flash for E620

<p>I need more flash power for my E620. Is there a specific Olympus shoe-mount flash that is compatible? The two flashes listed on the Olympus site, and at B&H, don't list the E-series as compatible.<br>

Maybe I'll try my Nikon SB800 and see what happens?</p>

<p>Any Olympus, Panasonic, or third party flash made for 4/3 or micro 4/3 cameras will work. I'd recommend skipping the 36/360 series flashes from Olympus and Panasonic, as the boneheaded decision to use only 2 AA batteries makes for an absurdly slow recharge time. If you get the Olympus flash that ends in R, such as the FL-50R, then it will be able to be used as a wireless flash, as your E-620 supports wireless flash.</p>

<p>The FL-50/R use 4 AA batteries. The FL-36/R use 2. How fast a recycle time do you need. I used the FL36 for about five years with 2900ma Lithium batteries and recycle time was about 1-2 seconds when fresth and never got worse than 5-6 when running low.</p>

would not want to carry around a bigger

unit or more spare batteries.
