dawsonjm
I guess you all are busy sleeping, so here we go.

I took a short walk around SW Portland on Thursday with the K5IIs and my new DA15 limited. This is a sweet, compact kit to carry around a neighborhood, and takes great pictures too.

stemked
Beat me by 30 seconds. I'll take the other one down.
Hi Folks.
Not much time to get out, but fortunately my daughter told me that there was a 'baby owl' at her school. I knew what that meant, a Northern Saw Whet Owl. I took a lot of photos of it, most of the fill-in flash came back with scarey red eye shots. I'll fix them when I get time, but for now
:
Pentax K7 with 300mm F* f4.5 at about f11, fill-in flash ISO 400.
bob_marz
Thanks again for all the well wishes. Still shootin' out the window, although I am progressing somewhat. I walked on the teadmill yesterday. May have pushed it a bit too much. Walked for three hours / 8 miles.
I've always found it hard to capture snow falling. It just doesn't come out well for me. You do need some type of background. Well, here's my latest attempt. Shutter speed is a big key. And am downsizing like I always did but not sure why it is coming out large file.

george_loepfe
The sled dog race I posted about last week was started from a gravel pit. There were snow covered piles of gravel that the kids took advantage of. They were probably 40 feet tall with 45 degree slopes. No ambulances were called as far as I know.

snik75
Douglas, love the owl. And Bob, that snow fall shot is amazing? I have never gotten close to such a good result with snow coming down. And we have a lot of it here in Wisconsin!

I tried a little HDR on a snowy sunset, but it didn't come out like I had hoped - may have more work to do.

snik75
It was a lovely scene, but cold! I had to miss a few shots as a pro was doing some engagement pics or something on an old bridge - I bet they turned out great with the lighting and backdrop.

snik75
And for something totally different - I took a few snaps at my daughters Kindergarten Valentines party. I wouldn't normally post something with someone else's kid in it, but this seems reasonably safe.

(All shots with K5, FA31)

I will try to prepare some ginger next time as well, I ate my first home made Sushi with Wasabi and Tamari sauce :-)
hinman
Just get back from Macau/Hong Kong family visit trip, so please excuse my pictures posting with non-pentax cameras.

#1 A Film Photographer In Sunset

<a href=" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8506/8468760975_cf23f42972_c.jpg" alt="" />
Sony NEX 5N, E 16mm f/2.8 plus Wide Angle Converter 0.75x, 12mm in focal length and I crop in editing.

I stop short in striking a conversation with the photographer in the picture. She has a film camera strapped to her left and she have a digital strapped in her front by the neck. The scene was such a pretty that I was totally immersed in taking more pictures of the backdrop along with the photographer enjoying the scenes.

In daytime, the busy streets and markets are filled with people. I find it more opportunistic to walk at night where there is plenty of interesting lights along with stony paths that add characters to story telling
