ridinhome Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 <p>Mike - I use the HX-18W with my Hexar AF. Its perfectly safe to use it. It has the added advantage of being set higher than the HX-14, reducing the chances of red-eye.</p> <p>Make sure you re-program the guide number. The second last post in the link David posted above tells you how to do it.</p> <p>Have fun with the Hexar. I had (with great trepidation) to reprogram my standard Hexar to accept alternative guide numbers if I wanted to use anything other than the HX-14 in flashmatic: in the end, after reading around I settled on a Nikon SB-20. </p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
