"licht" is of course "light". "Gegenlicht" is light coming against (towards) you. "Blende" is related to the word "blinding". In

this contex, it means "shading". Incidentally, the German term for Aperture is "blende" as well. Hope this helps :-)

Am still getting used to the release position. Otherwise, it is still a nice instrument. </p>
