While in the long term "gun control" would have a positive effect, most will only look at the short term. As such "gun control" would have little if any effect. Essentially those that state that only criminals would have guns would be right in the short term. In the long term however IMO there would be positive effects. Beyond that, I think that �money as God� is a problem for the US. Family seems to be only a word here. And as long as �World Peace� is more important than �peace at home�; we will have issues. In the US the police force has not kept up with the growth of the population. Not to the extent of our military. To those that may feel this thread is OT � threads are inherent to grow where the opinion goes.
