john_valjean
Hi guys,
I will have an afternoon in Grapevine (Dallas Texas) to kill, can someone from the area recommend couple of places where I can go take some pictures. My first preference is to do something outside, but if it is not possible then indoors will have to do. Please let me know what you recommend, thanks ...
Bill J Boyd
John, not sure what you like to shoot, but here are some of my favorites...
(1) outdoors go to the Dallas Arboretum..google it to get address, etc.
(2) indoors maybe Thanksgiving Square Chapel in downtown Dallas..see my photo of ceiling.
(3) if you are in Grapevine, that is not far from Ft Worth..Sundance Square, etc.

john_valjean
Thanks Bill, if it is not raining I will be outside, or else I will follow your indoor places. By the way, are these places safe for a ... tourist with a photography backbag ...?
Bill J Boyd
Very safe...I used to live in Dallas, but reside in Austin now. The Dallas Arboretum is a great place to photograph and it adjoins White Rock Lake where you can always find things to photograph. The pelicans will be at White Rock Lake (Sunset Bay) until about April 5th or so.
