<p>Nice shots, guys! Merry Xmas to all! As usual, I'm celebrating Xmas Eve by playing my Roland V-drums--for which I just upgraded all of my pads to brand new PDX-6 mesh pads--thanks, Santa (I mean, Ebay.)!</p>

<p>Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Steve, just ordering the new book for shoots on those rainy winter nights ahead. Brooks, lovely shot. Gorgeous composition. Were the large ornaments as shot, blurred with gaussian or maybe sprayed with a dulling compound? They seem to have varying specular edge transfer ranging from the diffuse center green to the hard edged silver below it. Since all are hit by the same light, I'm guessing it must be surface efficiency or post. </p>

<p>No blur or dulling compound. Some of the ornaments were glossy and some had a matte surface. The box was open on the bottom, the floor too, and they both sat on a piece of white translucent plexi. Underneath it all, a flash head with a straw filter pushed light up through the bottom of the box.</p>
