Testing out the 60mm macro again this past weekend. Conditions were not all that great (overcast, drizzly at times). Makes me recognize need for additional lighting for macro, especially hand-held shots. Was fun, though.

00avtb-499903784.jpg.2f71bc796382a3a9a28bcd44970f778f.jpg

Nikon Wednesday is really my favorite day of the week. I love seeing what everyone shoots...from the everyday to the sublime. :)
I haven't been out shooting lately, but I was putting together some prints and made a triptych out of these three. These are my handsome boy Red, from summer of 2011. He's getting on in years and someday he won't be able to go out hiking with us, so I'm happy to have these photos of him enjoying the mountains. Would have been taken with my D70 and 18-70mm lens.

00avvB-499919584.jpg.8b395ea7163b0be17d5d564f77edfdac.jpg

Wonderful shots today! Spent a week on Dauphin Island and saw shore birds that I have not seen before. The sunsets were wonderful.
