rmbpearson
Got a question - I noticed a darker hue on the right third of my photos from the Canon Model 7. Is this a camera problem? Or a film problem? Or an exposure issue?

mukul_dube
The shutter, which runs horizontally at the focal plane (just in front of the film) is not allowing even exposure to the entire frame. One side is getting more light than the other. A common problem which can be set right by a skilled repair person.
rmbpearson
I don't know of any reputable vintage camera repair shops in NYC. This camera has a huge sentimental value for me.I really didn't notice it until I was able to shoot about 4 rolls. I suppose I could correct it in post processing if it's that obvious. Any suggestions?
mukul_dube
I think that correction in post processing will be at best a temporary solution. This problem is likely to get worse with time: and there is a likelihood of other problems developing. Indeed, some may already be present but unnoticed. I'd say that the value you attach to the camera makes an overhaul all the more advisable.
The fact that no other member has spoken here tells me that this is a thread now considered dead. I am sure you will get good advice on repair if you ask in a new question.
