doug_stemke1
I was in a shop the other day and saw this lens. I didn't have a screw mount camera to play with but this lens really peaked my curosity. It is SMALLER than a 40mm Pentax pancake lens. I couldn't test it, but I assume that it is a circular fisheye. Does anybody know anything about this lens? Thanks! Doug
al_kaplan1
It's a full frame fisheye. Shortly after they came out (1968?) a friend of mine took a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Baby Speed Graphic, cut the whole front of the camera away, and mounted a Pentax lens flange on it. The Speed Graphic had a focal plane shutter. With a 12 exposure 120 roll film back he could shoot nice big circular fish-eye Ektachromes before anybody else could, and the ad agencies loved him. As lenses go, it's not the sharpest in the world. It is wide, though.
