errol young
This was a nice camera until if fell from my bike and killed the shutter button. Nikon wants $300 to fix but it cost $400 so it is not worth it.
I used it to just carry it around because it was light but quite capable.
Shooting with it I found the frustration of a P&S, shutter lag, not much DOF control, uselessly inacurate optical view finder. I understand why the 7700 does not have one.
In spite of that, I got some good results.. I liked the exposure control that changed the display and histogram on the LCD. The display articulation was nice but did not go all the way .
I am now using my D3100 in its place but it is heavier. But it is much more capable. I use it on the job mounted with the 10-20mm. The D300 and D700 do most the work.
FYI
