alpshiker
Has the combination been tested by anyone yet? Ellis? Robert White? Jeff Taughner?
steve_hamley
Paul, I haven't tried anything with this back yet, but I did drive down to Quality Camera in Alanta, Georgia and look at one today. Floyd Grimm seems to think it may just slide under the spring back on many cameras, but we didn't have a modern 5x7 to test. The back looks to be about 1-1/4 inches (3.2 cm) thick. The back is mounted to a plate using two levers (not permanently mounted). It looks like an adapter for most any camera would be cheap to make. You would have to have something that will hold a 5x7" plate (about 1/8" thick) to the back of your camera in the proper position. It also can connect it to flash synch on the shutter to auto advance after a 4 second delay, or you can advance it manually with the "advance" button. It seems very nicely made. Thanks! alpshiker
Thanks, Steve. So now we know the thing is real! Hey, doesn't my thread sound rude? Sorry about that, I didn't mean it!
steve_hamley
Paul, There's nothing rude about your post. Sounds like a lot of people are really anxious to try it out. I almost bought it, but I don't have anything to put it on yet. I may e-mail you for camera advice! Thanks! Steve
