My Niece visited for the weekend and she is a Professional Yoga Instructor. So I had an opportunity to take a bunch of photos.
This is one by my pond taken with my Nikon D 90. Sigma 70-200 @ 120mm, F4.5, 1/1600, iso 640 - tripod. I took this at 7:40 PM and was getting the golden light near sunset.
Thank you for looking

Great shots again this Wednesday. Haven't had the camera out much, so from the archives is one of a tribute our small town paid to our first slain police officer. Officer Mike Walter and two fellow officers were serving a warrant when the suspect opened fire killing Walter. One other officer also was shot, but not fatally.

00acyu-483085584.JPG.e4f6e338d5572fde13e76fdbe6bc0bc1.JPG

Happy Wednesday! Looking good Nikon community! My submission is a macro of a Gulf Fritillary butterfly wing. It was early morning (warming up time), so it let me get close without flying off. It always amazes me to see detail that normally we can't see with the naked eye. D7000/Sigma 150mm@1/40, f/10, ISO 250, on a tripod

Good Morning everyone, since I had the opportunity to go out this last weekend I thought I'd share a photo. Two of my Nikon shooting friends got me to go to a botanical garden which had a calming effect on my hyperactive thyroid. Hand held up well due to physical therapy, but I was shaky due to the thyroid. I feel like I'm falling apart, so the day out was good for me.
Great shots as usual everyone & fun to see what we a little of what we all have seen this last week...
This little bee I ended up chasing around for. It appeared & disappeared so fast. But I did catch it in this frame. Enjoy...

Mine is dumb. I noticed my boy's slinky lying on the table in front of a hand-painting he'd made. He likes green. I normally don't like images with the foreground out of focus but this one amuses me.

00aczj-483093584.jpg.a427398e144ff081b7324de5fbf436a0.jpg

Happy Wednesday, all. Simon I really like the soft colors and lighting. Could do without the pier. Was the pole carved in place or carved and then positioned on the beach? Great shot!
Too hot to do much outside the last couple weeks, so just shooting flowers in the woods on dog walks. Little grasshopper on a Jewelweed flower.

00ad0C-483105584.jpg.d1aef8009abe41040be699bee3573bd9.jpg

When my grand grand father Wes discovered Devil’s Tower, Wyoming back in 1880 and took this picture with Nikon D200 + 50-135mm Ais it looked like this. Most likely he took also pictures of fist people climbing the rock. When I’ll find his old USB stick from that time with the pictures I’ll post them right away. Darn thing must be somewhere in the attic.

00ad0D-483105684.JPG.5ba692449e45a0d315fa1cfba32de536.JPG

Little disclaimer. I’m not really sure grand grand pap Wes discovered Devil’s Tower. I’m also not sure what camera he was using if any. It wasn’t Nikon for sure. It was another 20 – 30 years after that when massive transfer of science and technology started to Japan from the world and particularly from Germany. (Optical technology included in the mix)
