david_kelly1 Posted December 10, 2002 Share Posted December 10, 2002 Douglas et al: it's a mistake to lump Pentax Super-multicoated Takumars in with "generic SLR" lenses by minolta, Nikon or Olympus: they were hand built "pure" Planars and allegedly each one sold at a loss as Pentax attempted to compete with Zeiss.
