rodeo_joe1
+1 to a portable version of GIMP. All you need to do is install it and copy the entire Gimp install folder onto a stick. Create an Autorun or shortcut to "gimp-2.8.exe" (for the Windows version) found in the "bin" subfolder and away it should go.

I've noticed the latest 2.8 version of GIMP has trouble finding the UFRAW plugin, or maybe it's the plugin that has trouble finding GIMP. Whatever; the fix is to copy the entire contents of the UFRAW install into the Program Files>GIMP-2.0>bin directory. Don't forget to install the massive Help files onto the USB stick too.
