steve_levine
Has anyone shot this film? It looks like an interesting emulsion? I'm just wondering about developers etc. I shoot Ilford Pan F (ISO50) at the present time. I've never read anything good or bad about it, and I'm curious about it.
d_purdy
I like to process really fine grain film like that in either Rodinal 1-100 or Beutlers. You will get incredible sharpness with either of those. Rodinal is called something else now but you can mix Beutlers yourself.. a very simple formula.
leighb
I shot APX 25 for decades, developed in Rodinal 1:50. Absolutely wonderful.

I don't know anything about the modern incarnation of the product.

- Leigh
steve_levine
I use HC110 (B) for my B&W films at present. (Pan F & Tri-X) I'm hoping to use it on the Rollei/Agfa?
I loved Rodinal back in the day. Diluted variously, it could do anything.
stb
I have used a lot of APX 25 in 6x9. I have tried the new Rollei 25 in 6x7. The new one is not going to give you an experience close to the old APX. I don't even find it very good. It has much coarser grain than the APX. by the way, I don't think that Rollei Pan 25 is made by Agfa.
Today, I find the Rollei Retro 80s and Superpan 200 to be excellent films. They are made by agfa. The 80s is the second finest grain film I have ever used, after the Technical Pan. Those films have extended red sensitivity, so there is a learning curve to their usage, especially with red filters.
Don't forget Acros 100 and T-Max 100. They are both superb as well.
