Film Back that has wire to open it

<p>Something Like the Linhol film back rather than prying it open as most of us do,<br>

you only need pull the wire handle down and the film back opens ,<br>

Makes it easy to open and reduces shake with camera when changing film holders<br>

But I would like one that would work On My Toyo 45CF camera.<br>

Any idea's here folks :</p>

Just curious: how would having a pull-wire to open a back reduce camera shake when you take one such a back/holder off/out and put another on/in?

<p>Are you talking about a bale that pulls the focusing back away from the film slot to allow inserting a film holder? Or are you talking about something like a Polaroid back that has a wire catch to keep the holder together?</p>

<p>Lauren, If you have no success in finding an existing bale back for your camera, someone who does modifications, like SK Grimes, may be able to build one onto your current back.</p>

<p>Calumet CC-400 series camera backs have bail handles/clamps (it is bail not bale, for helping your Googling).<br>

Are they adaptable? You an find bodies dirt cheap on Ebay usually.</p>

I get it now: you were talking about the camera, not the film holder. I know what you mean.<br><br>Isn't that spelled "bail", not "bale"? May help finding ones in webshops and auction sites.

<p>My Toyo 45A has a lever that works the same as a bail to open the back slightly. It helps a lot for inserting a film holder. Are you sure your 45CF back doesn't have one? </p>
