alpshiker
I visited today the Ilford facilities in Marly, Switzerland, where Ilfochrome is produced for the world market, and was reassured when told that Ilfochrome is still a very popular and profitable product and it's production will be continued for at least the next ten years (understand "as long as there will be a sufficient demand"). Ilfochrome Rapid has been discontinued though. So the announcements that Ilfochrome Classic will not longer be available is probably the fact of some distributors ceasing it's distribution on the local market. nigel_turner
and where is this 'demand' going to come from?'Ilfochrome' is a thing of the past.
jeffrey_scott
Why do you feel that Ilfochrome "is a thing from the past"? I recently had 16x20 Ilfochromes made of some my Fuji 4x5s that look stunning, certainly better than that D word stuff. Why shouldn't traditional and digital coexist?
