jay_.
I have a B+W MRC (the only kind of filter I ever use) 010 (UV)in standard mount on my 21ASPH and there's no vignetting.
john_collier2
Most any E55 filter will fit on. On some (B+W) you have to slightly loosen the filter to get the hood on. I do not use filters myself unless it is for a specific effect. I have the usual polarising, red and yellow-green filters to hand. I also have a UV filter if I am going to photographing in a windy and sandy location or where there is a good deal of salt water spray.
kenny_c.
I am using a slim hepiopan es 55 uv sh-pmc filter on my 21 asph. The lens shade can be put on fully. I have tried the non-slim B+W filter but it was too thick for the lens shade to be put in its proper place.
guy bennett
I switched from B+W to Heliopan precisely because all Heliopan filters come in a slim mount. I was not able to mount the hood completely over the B+W filter on my 24 without a struggle. With the Heliopan, no problem.
wgpinc
Ditto! I'm using one of the slim Heliopan filters on my pre-aspheric 21 Elmarit. No sign of vignetting and the hood fits fine. Cheers.
