michael_matsil
Hi All,
I was just at the Epson website looking for a profile for their 'exhibition fiber paper' and could not find the K3 (no vivid magenta) 7800 printer profiles. Is there an equivalent printer that I can choose like the 7900, 7890 or 7700? Can I assume I should use the one that is K3 without the newer vivid magenta?
Thanks!
jeff_schewe
I'm not sure if Epson has released an EFP profile for the 7800...you might try downloading the most recent driver. But...PixelGenius has made EFP profiles for the 78/9800 Epson printers available HERE. Also for the 3800 and R2400 printers...as well as the 880 series of printers.
michael_matsil
Thanks Jeff. But, I'm looking for specific paper profiles for the 7800. What downloaded from Pixel Genius looked like a single non-specific profile?? What is an EFP profile?
jeff_schewe
EFP is Exhibition Fiber Paper...the 7800 and 9800 profile is the same. Both printers print the same output...
michael_matsil
Thanks Jeff... I wonder why Epson won't publish profiles for the 7800/9800 anymore? It would be the simplest thing in the world for them to do. All the other paper companies continue to publish profiles for older printers. I have an old 2200 and I can get profiles for the latest papers from Moab, etc.
