danferrin
As usual, lots of great shots this week. Mine is a lucky shot. I was looking through the lens at the hole where I had seen the woodpecker a couple of days earlier and snapped off a couple of shots of the tree for no particular reason. I then saw the bird on the other side of the tree and got some pretty good shots of him from the side, then again as he came out of this hole. When I got home and was editing the shots from the day, I was a bit surprised by this shot. Had to crop in quite a bit, but couldn't resist sharing this unusual shot of a Pileated Woodpecker.
Canon EOS 50D, EF 100-300 f/4.5-5.6, ISO 400, 300mm, f8, 1/1000

philrichardson
I'm in Wisconsin right now. Went out for a walk this morning, in the very light snowfall, and took this one. Temp is in the high 20's during the day, so I think the snow will be around for a few days.

Burnsie
I was not sure if I could post a picture from my Canon S100 here. Is it EOS only cameras? Oh well, here is one from the Detroit Autoshow last night taken with my new S100. Much easier carrying around this baby, versus the 40D and 17-55.

JamesFarabaugh
Sorry, no snow this week. But I'm heading up to the White Mountains of Arizona this weekend, so I should have some snow shots next week!

This past weekend the girlfriend had a girls' night, so while they were baking brownies and putting weird creams on their faces I retreated to the garage and organized my tool box.

philip_wilson
I was in Las Vegas this week - New York New York with a tilt shift lens. In this shot I deliberately used the tilt to create a shallow DOF. Sometimes I think that the artificial nature of Vegas is conveyed better with selective focus although I did take the same shot with very sharp focus as well.

nathangardner
David,
When you resize your images are you maintaining the aspect ratio? Your shot of the coyote is great, but it seems a bit stretched as if it was resized to a different ratio than originally. I noticed the same thing last week.
