<p>Yes you can use external packs on the SB 600s powering them thru wires. You could even use a single 6v gel cell to power all three of them if you make up a wiring harness. If you are using AA cells, you can buy a couple of 4 cell holders and wire the outputs in parallel for higher capacity at 6 volts. Just a caution, wiring batteries in series-parallel configurations without using high current isolating diodes isn't really recommended, if one cell in a pack shorts internally, the higher voltage pack will discharge thru the one with a dead cell. So don't leave them connected when not in use.</p>
