mjferron
Yes that's right a chopped top Mamiya press with finder, 6x7 back and a superb 50mm lens. Put a roll of Pan F through it yesterday. damn that lens is sharp right to the corners.

Side note. Can anyone suggest a source for foam seals? There's not much left in the slots now. Thanks.

JDMvW
Very nice indeed, but where are the pictures?

Best source in general for light seals in my personal experience is Jon Goodman ( http://www.kyphoto.com/classics/sealreplacement.html )
paul_richardson9
I agree with JDM, Jon Goodman is the best guy for seals!
I think his email has changed though, this one is the latest according to RFF JGood21967[AT]aol.com
(swap [AT] for @, its to stop spambots trawling the email)

rustys pics
Maybe we should start a thread "Last Roll of Plus-X" since I shot my Fed 2 pictures with a last roll! Outstanding quality photos. Rich tones. I'd love to see a close up shot of that cracked windshield.....
lex_jenkins
I remember several years ago a fellow who specialized in modifying press cameras this way. Can't recall his name or website, but he did some clever stuff to make MF cameras more portable.
eddy_pula
Is it Thomas Roma? A terrific photographer (Check out Enduring Justice) He also made something called the Pannoroma, used by Friedlander.
mjferron
Lex there is a site called "Big camera.com " that specializes in highly modified press cameras and 4x5's.
lex_jenkins
Michael, that's the one, thanks! I used to browse that site years ago and kept pondering whether to try one of those modified press cameras for dedicated wide angle stuff.
