Kent Shafer
Can anyone suggest an inkjet paper with a distintively cream colored base? I would like to print warm toned monochrome images, mostly portraits, on an Epson 3800 using ABW mode and have the paper base complement the image tones. I'm visualizing something like the old Kodak Opal paper.

Thanks.
howard_m
Depending on how warm/creamy (and gloss vs. matte) you want, Harman makes several that might be of interest.

http://www.atlex.com/harman/photo-inkjet-paper.htm

paddler4
I don't know Kodak Opal. What surface are you looking for? If you want a rag paper, I think Moab Entrada Rag Natural is a beautiful paper.
david_henderson
Another vote for Harman Warmtone Baryta Gloss 320gsm- though I don't recommend the matte. Now marketed by Hahnemuhle, it looks very similar to a traditional fibre gloss. Its been my standard B&W paper for the last couple of years .
Kent Shafer
Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out. As to surface, I would prefer a pearl or unferrotyped glossy, definitely not high gloss. (Opal was an enlarging paper, probably long discontinued. Showing my age I guess.) howard_m
might also want to look at this. I'd suggest a sample pack or so. Some of the 'warm' tone papers are *really* warm ;) and may be more than what you're looking for. Also check redriverpaper.om

http://inkpresspaper.com/profiles.asp?PaperID=42
