k_michael
The finder blind would not close and the diopter adjustment would not work. Altogether with a cleaning, the repair cost me $175. I'm thinking this happened from sweat buildup on the camera. I've shot a lot of pictures with it. Did this ever happen to anyone else?
erik_christensen3
I have had that the finder blind would not close and had it repaired by Nikon Service Center for USD 2 !
Cleaning of sensor normally costs USD 7, for which reason I never fiddle with it myself.
mike_halliwell
I gotta say the variation in Nikon charges seems extreme.. Not comparing oranges here, but!
I'm not sure I could get my sensor cleaned by Nikon UK for £5.. Maybe I'm wrong??
rodeo_joe1
Is that $175 US? For adjusting the viewfinder? Whooo! They must've seen you coming from 20 miles away K. Did you know that the glass finder cover will stop the blind from operating if it gets jammed in the wrong position? And that the diopter adjuster has to be pulled out before it can be rotated?

Mike, right on! I can't see Nikon UK even sneezing on your camera for a fiver!
