Hello Nikonistas, and a good Wednesday to you. Sorry for the later than usual start this morning. I spent all day photographing a regional emergency response field training exercise (or "MASCAL FTX" for those in the business of simulating big disasters/attacks and responding to them). For part of the day, I was following my county's CERT crew as they worked on triage techniques. Here, a school-teacher-by-day CERT volunteer counts out the stretcher lift for an actor complaining of injuries.

I'm afraid I might subject you to a couple more Wednesdays of shots from this very long day. Interesting people doing important things. Had some active folks in front of your Nikon gear? Share a photo!

00ZUHD-407673584.jpg.9591c6dfc348ef0f8cdf4e9841e7e9e8.jpg

Hello Everyone,
Such beautiful work on display! These Wednesdays are becoming one of my weekly treasures. Especially enjoyed Anura's fish market, even if it's a bit macabre, and Rene's mysterious staircase to ?? My contribution is of leaves on a local pond: hope you like it.

Good Morning Guys,
Some interesting stuff so far. One of my favourite subjects, Whooper Swans. It's that time of year again, massive numbers start to congregate on local lochs to either rest en-route further south or to settle ready for Winter. This is the most interesting time as old acquaintances are renewed and rank sorted out.

Happy Nikon Wednesday! On a recent walk around Bantry I came across this wonderful piece of art. Nearby is a plaque on which the artist (Paddy Campbell) writes: "This sculpture expresses the compassion of the people of Bantry and Ireland for men, women and children of all races and creeds who lost their lives in this bay. The two figures convey love, loss, anguish, forgiveness, peace, reaching, letting go..."

00ZUHr-407695584.jpg.2b7a2d6d38f8ba30277ce3c2c481b149.jpg
