joe_margetts
I have recently destroyed (by accident) my Canon 299T flash and need to buy a replacement. I have a T90, A-1 and AE-1 which I use regularly but most of the flash work will be on the T90. I want a NEW Canon branded flash with the same or better compatibility to the T90 as the 299T. I am aware of the 300TL being dedicated to the T90 but have seen various information to suggest I can buy a NEW flash from the EOS range which both offers the dedicated functionality and is NEW - negating the risk of buying a faulty used unit. Can anyone tell me which current flashes are compatible please. Thank you, Joe
s2vach
i think any of the earlier ez (not ex) models will give you a-ttl, but i dont think any will give you fel (my favorite for t90) or 2nd curtain sync.
joe_margetts
I have just bought a 420EX. It will certainly give auto TTL but it looks as though it is also going to give FEL (flash exposure lock) and 2nd curtain sync. I will keep you posted. canon man
My 300 EZ gives A-TTL and TTL in manual. and can be bought cheap. If you wanted A-TTL bad enough.
