anirbanbanerjee
I like to have separate controls for activating AF and shutter trigger.
I am missing shots with my Pentax Z1-p (same as PZ1-p) because though I have enabled the function that activates AF on the ML (exposure memory lock) button, the shutter half press still activates the AF.
Thanks.
andrewg_ny
Reviewing the manual, I don't think there's any way to disable AF on half-press. However, if you HOLD the ML button down, I expect that it won't attempt to RE-focus on half-press. I expect this is the way this was expected to be used.

This is consistent with Pentax digital bodies except that the digital bodies have an additional custom setting to disable the half-press AF.

Pretty sure this would have been answered sooner in the Pentax-specific forum.
