arjen van de merwe
I was asked to provide some images for picture postcards. Does anyone have guidelines on pricing for this type of use?
art_morgan
There are so many factors that determine what price to charge. How difficult was the image to get (how easy would it be for someone else to go take it?) How will the postcards be used--commercially or as souvenirs? How many postcards does the company intend to print? What are the distribution channels (every store in America?) How well are you known as a photographer? With all that in mind, I'd say $50 to 'thousands of dollars' per image. It's good to ask the company what their budget is and you decide if you can work within that, or negotiate something better for you.
steve m smith
Considering how cheap postcards are, I would be surprised if there was much money to be made supplying images.
