pbjef
I'm very interested in how processing was done on the image below. I can decipher some of it, but not as much as I need. It is very reminiscent of a Rembrandt style painting, but I'm limited in how to reproduce it. I'm not interested in turning it into an oil painting as PS has it's own oil painting plug in. I'm more interested in the colors, saturation and techniques.

I can't find the person who shot it on MM. The image number was 4e4f9c7085e44.jpg. A great deal of credit to that photographer and their work.

This is the image that I am referring to:

http://www.photographybyjef.com/masters.jpg

Any help on how this was processed is greatly appreciated.
john_a5
This is really pretty straight forward. The scene is set up and then lit either by a spot light or with a grid on a standard light source. This is very hard light, look at the shadows, but with a very narrow beam.

I would most likely do something like this with a grid on a studio flash. There are some indications here of then modifying the light with either post processing or a scrim or cuculoris, but basically just a narrow beam of light (warmed with a filter or in post).
mukul_dube
Directional light, processing probably straightforward. I wonder how the green cast came in.
chris_autio
I have accomplished this by putting my strobe outside my studio, pointing in. Wax papering the window helps.

diane_madura
Jef, check out this 8 part series. It's quite good. Also check out his examples of lightpainting, which is the second link.

http://www.daveblackphotography.com/workshop/index.htm

http://www.daveblackphotography.com/lightpaintings/index.htm
